Sipex Expands Low Voltage LDO Offerings
(Milpitas, CA - March 10, 2004) - Sipex Corporation (NASDAQ:SIPX), a leading provider of high performance, analog integrated circuits (ICs), today introduced two, new low voltage options for its SP6201. Adding support for 1.5V and 1.8V, the SP6201 now provides output voltages down to 1.5V fixed and adjustable output from 1.25V to 5V with less than 320mV dropout at 200mA. An ideal choice for portable applications such as cell phones, PDAs, pagers and digital still cameras, these parts consume only 28uA quiescent current and only 10nA current consumption in shutdown, extending battery life. Operating over an input voltage range from 2.5V to 6V supply, these LDOs are also suited for consumer and personal electronics, where the SP6201 could be used to ensure a highly accurate, quiet and protected voltage supply.
