New Branding Solution from Pixel Power

Pixel Power is using IBC2007 to launch LogoVision SD, a new, standard definition only version of its innovative channel branding device. LogoVision SD can be field upgraded to an HD/SD switchable version.

Based on its 18 years of experience in developing practical graphics solutions for the broadcast industry, Pixel Power designed the LogoVision family to meet the real needs of automated branding applications, adding powerful functionality not previously available in systems at this price point.

The functionality includes multiple clocks, multi-layer static and animated logos, text crawls and other popular graphics formats. It can be set up from a front panel interface or via a standard web browser. In use it will normally be under the control of a station automation system, triggering the device by serial protocol, ethernet or GPI.

To ensure high availability LogoVision incorporates two video inputs with automatic bypass in the event of power failure, with dual power supplies available as an option. All content is stored in non-volatile solid state memory for additional security. Options include an SDI preview output, audio clip playback with group mixing, a 2D DVE and interfaces for a temperature probe and the USA Emergency Alert System.

"While HD is grabbing the attention at the moment, there are many channels broadcasting in standard definition who want to maximise their on-screen branding," said James Gilbert, managing director of Pixel Power. "We are serving them with LogoVision, offering very sophisticated graphics power at an extremely attractive price."
