Saline, MI - [December 23, 2003] - Pro-face America, Inc., a majority owned subsidiary of Digital Electronics Corporation based in Osaka, Japan, introduces a new product line, PRO-iO, the low-cost family of logic relays.

PRO-iO is a family of logic relays that deliver the functions you need in an easy-to-use, compact format. Calendars, timers, counters and I/O allow for a full spectrum of applications. Save space and money by reducing installation time, wiring cost and decreasing the number of components you need to purchase. The PRO-iO family consists of eight models, four of which support 24VDC inputs and four that support 100-240VAC. All of the models support ladder logic, a standard in programming controls for industry. The built-in display and keys allow you to program the ladder logic directly on the module. Alternatively, the PRO-iO Editor software package can be used to write the logic on a desktop or laptop personal computer then download it to the module.

Some models have calendar/timer functionality, analog comparator, power fail memory backup, and online monitoring, which enable the PRO-iO product line to be used in many different applications. PRO-iO is perfect for the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or contractor where applications include greenhouse sprinklers or golf course irrigation systems, automatic doors, material handling, conveyor systems, HVAC, toll booths, parking lot management, pumping, lighting control, automated sign control and many others. And at 8 Amps on the outputs, even the most demanding loads can be handled.

"This product family gives our customers the ability to reduce labor cost and time by combining the functionality of what would normally be several independent devices into one compact package," explains Scott Kortier, Pro-face America's PRO-iO Product Manager. "The 'Logic Relay' concept enables the OEM or contractor to install the functionality that they have always had, now using one compact package."
