Use of Wireless Handheld Device Puts SafeTzone LocationStation(R) at Guests' Fingertips
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Nov. 18 -- SafeTzone Technologies Corporation of Laguna Hills, Calif., announced today the next generation of software solutions technology that will be added to its suite of location- based services. SafeTzone's Guest and Amenity Location Services will now be available to guests in a "handheld" version that will be deployed in 2005.
SafeTzone is the industry leader in the providing of location services technology for guests and children in family destinations since 2001. Through SafeTzone's installations in theme parks, shopping malls, and most recently, ski resorts, SafeTzone has pioneered location based services and is the leader in bringing peace of mind and venue information to families and groups who visit crowded venues. SafeTzone has worked with venues to make guests visits more rewarding and enjoyable through its suite of location-based services.
The introduction by SafeTzone of a service that is literally at the guests' fingertips via SafeTzone's handheld version of its Guest and Amenity Location System is expected to revolutionize the delivery of location services to venue guests. Not only does the SafeTzone handheld solution provide the numerous services currently available through SafeTzone current "stationary" LocationStations(R), which include among other things, guest location services, amenity location, route planner, reservations and line management, messaging, and cashless spending; the mobile version will allow many more conveniences.
The additional conveniences include instant messaging, current information about ride and/or event wait times at the venue, current and upcoming events at the venue, as well as promotional information that is specific to the venue.
Handheld form factors will include PDA's, cell phones, and other network devices.
SafeTzone will be demonstrating the new technology November 17-20 at its booth at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Trade Show (IAAPA) in Orlando, FL. SafeTzone has received commitments from certain of its existing customers as well as new customers to deploy the new device in the their venues in 2005.
