New Products Feature Rugged, Precision Dual Shear Beam Technology

Ontario, Calif. - November 10, 2003 - SENTRAN today announced the availability of its LA Series Load Pins. Designed specifically to measure radial forces in a pinned union, the LA Series is commonly customized to meet specific application requirements whether for low-volume, end-user situations, or for volume-oriented O.E.M. solutions. The robust Dual Shear Beam design readily tolerates angular, end loading and side loading effects, with minimal sensitivity to these anomalies.

The LA Series is designed to accurately measure compression or tension loads in capacities ranging from 500 lbs. to 200,000 lbs. and more. Pin size ranges from less than one inch up many inches in diameter and length. The LA Series is an extremely rugged, high performance force transducer constructed of alloy tool steel or stainless steel, with a minimum sealing rating of IP67 (thoroughly sealed against airborne particles and the effects of immersion up to 1 meter). To achieve this thorough sealing rating, proprietary, composite barriers are integrated into all environmentally-sensitive areas. Sealing ratings of IP66 (high pressure washdown) and IP68 (submersion for extended periods) are also available.
