Ultrasonic Cryogenic Temperature Liquid Level Switches

Cosense Inc. has announced the introduction of a series of miniature Ultrasonic Liquid Level Switches for cryogenic temperatures down to -400° F. The liquid level switches, designated Pointsense(TM) Model LL-108 is designed for use in liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen for level measurement. Proven ultrasonic technology and an extremely high wet to dry ratio (1000:1 nominal), the Pointsense(TM) cryogenic liquid level switch permits operation regardless of viscosity or aeration. The miniature size of the units and standard ¾" NPT mounting fitting makes it ideal for new applications as well as replacement systems in existing installations. The Pointsense(TM) switches consist of a 316SS sensor body with a hermetically sealed epoxy tip and an integral, miniature epoxy encapsulated electronic control unit that is mounted in a cast aluminum, explosion proof, watertight NEMA 4/7 enclosure. Repeatability of measurement is ± 1mm typically. Operating power is 115/230VAC, 50/60hz with 12 or 24VDC optional. Output is available in 10Amp relay contacts or loop power two wire.
