Aurora Discovery Introduces the NanoRAPTR for Drug Discovery Laboratories

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 31 - Aurora Discovery today announced it has introduced a new liquid handler for rapid, low-volume sample delivery in drug discovery, proteomic, and genomic research. The NanoRAPTR workstation provides researchers with non-contact liquid handling of cells, protein solutions, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solutions, and viscous solutions into low volume microplates. This workstation rapidly aspirates and dispenses up to eight reagents for volumes starting at 100 nL using on-the-fly motion with extremely high precision and accuracy.

"With the introduction of the NanoRAPTR, Aurora Discovery now offers a comprehensive product line of non-contact liquid handling and dispensing workstations for miniaturizing assay formats," said Peter Coassin, Aurora Discovery's President and CTO. "When used in conjunction with the BioRAPTR FRD, PicoRAPTR, and Scout MPD workstations -- laboratory researchers can produce substantial results in low volume assays." This product will be showcased at the Laboratory Automation Conference being held in San Jose, California from January 31 to February 3, 2005.
