Linear Position Sensors work in harsh environments.

Press Release Summary:

Series 330 AC-AC Gaging LVDTs provide accurate linear feedback in working ranges from ±0.005 to ±1.0 in. with accuracy of ±0.25% maximum non-linearity and 20 microinch repeatability. Sensors have self-lubricating linear sleeve bearing that resists contamination in industrial environments without requiring protective boot. Mechanical frequency response times are as high as 250 Hz, making sensors suitable for applications involving rapid displacement changes.

Trans-Tek Offers Small, Economical, Linear Position Sensors

The SERIES 330 AC-AC GAGING LVDTs provide accurate linear feedback in working ranges from ±0.005" to ±1.0". Unlike other spring-loaded items that use costly linear ball bearing guidance systems, the Series 330 contains a linear sleeve bearing that is more resistant to contamination in harsh industrial environments, without requiring a protective boot. The linear bearing is also self-lubricating, providing smooth shaft actuation for many cycles. These units feature a 3/8" OD package and overall short lengths, making them ideal for applications where space is limited. Accuracy specs are described as ±0.25% maximum non-linearity and 20 microinch repeatability. For applications involving rapid displacement changes, users will benefit from mechanical frequency response times as high as 250 Hz.

Separate signal conditioning is available to create a DC-in/DC-out operating system, without compromising performance. Typical applications include: part inspection, thickness measurement, creep or expansion testing, surface profiling and much more. Custom designs are possible for unique applications.
