Bridge Connections for Bishop-Wisecarver's Utilitrak® Product Line Now Available

Connector Provides Total Solution for Running Parallel Systems

Pittsburg, CA - - October 2, 2007 - - Today, Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, manufacturer of the original DualVee® guide wheel and industry leader in guided motion technology, announced the addition of bridge connections to its popular UtiliTrak product line. UtiliTrak is an ideal choice for running two systems in parallel. Because precise parallelism is difficult to achieve, it is not uncommon for mounting surfaces to be slightly out of parallel. UtiliTrak's design compensates for mounting errors, and does not require absolute parallelism for accurate operation. The vee side serves as the motion guide, while the roller side allows for parallel misalignment, resulting in significant savings in cost and assembly time associated with mounting and surface preparation. Available in steel and aluminum configurations, the bridge connection further simplifies assembly, and completes the system by joining the two slides and providing a stable mounting surface.

"Our customers have requested the addition of standard connections, with in-stock lead times," says Pamela Kan, president of Bishop-Wisecarver. "Each application requires different lengths and hole patterns, and with our state-of-the-art machine shop, we are uniquely capable of making each part to order very quickly."

The steel version is available in a variety of widths, and features mounting holes according to customer specification. The aluminum version features industry standard profile extrusions with T-slots for ease of mounting.
