This size 17 HSI captive linear actuator figures extended travel, proximity switch for end of travel and a military style rugged connector. This is an example of the flexibility of HSI's design to accommodate special requirements for special applications.
This product specifically designed for military use could be offered in different sizes and different travels. For hybrid captive motors, size 17 or 23, the operating maximum travel available can go to 2.5". Forces could go up to 50 lbs for size 17 linear actuators and 200 lbs for size 23 linear actuators. Precision per step can be as low as .00012" and special anti-back lash nuts for extreme bi-directional precision are also available.
