Linear Actuators include 5-phase hybrid stepping motor.
Press Release Summary:
Available with and without anti-rotation guide mechanism, miniature Series DRL comes in 1.1, 1.65, and 2.36 in. sq frame sizes. Actuators use rolled ball screw or ground ball screw and produce 6.7, 22, or 66 lb of force over 1.18, 1.57, or 1.97 in. stroke. Repetitive positioning accuracy is ±0.00039 to ±0.00079 in. Microstepping drivers provide up to 2 A at 24 Vdc to achieve nominal motion.
Original Press Release:
New Compact Linear Actuator and Drive System
Torrance, CA - Oriental Motor USA Corp. announces the new DRL Series of miniature linear actuators that combine a 5-phase hybrid stepping motor with an incorporated ball screw. They are supplied in three frame sizes, with and without an anti-rotation guide mechanism: 1.1 in. sq. (28 mm sq.), 1.65 in. sq. (42 mm sq.) and 2.36 in. sq. (60 mm sq.).
The standard DRL28PA1-03D actuator, which uses a rolled ball screw, produces a maximum thrust of 6.7 lb. force over a 1.18 in. stroke. Its repetitive positioning accuracy is +/- 0.00079 in. The ground ball screw version, DRL28PB1-03D, has the same force capability and stroke but achieves improved accuracy at +/- 0.00039 in. The standard DRL42PA2-04D linear actuator with rolled ball screw achieves 22 lbs. force over a 1.57 in. stroke. It has a repetitive positioning accuracy of +/- 0.00079 in. The ground ball screw model, DRL42PB2-04D, produces 22 lb. force over a 1.57 in. stroke with an accuracy of +/- 0.00039 in. The largest model, the DRL60PA4-05D (with rolled ball screw) reaches a 66 lb. thrust force over a 1.97 in. stroke with a repetitive positioning accuracy of +/- 0.00079 in.
There are five equivalent guide type linear actuators with matching maximum thrust force values ranging from the DRL28PA1G-03D to the DRL60PA4G-05D. The compact microstepping drivers provide up to 2 amps at 24 VDC, to achieve nominal motion.
