Honeywell EN Series Environmental-Sealed Limit Switch Withstands Extreme Environmental Condition

FREEPORT, Ill., February 16, 2004 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Sensing and Control's military-grade construction EN Series Environmental-sealed Limit Switch withstands the extreme environmental conditions found in such demanding applications as aircraft landing gear and flap/stabilizer controls, aircraft engine thrust reversers, space vehicles and marine valves. The EN Series is environmentally-sealed (symbol 4) to MIL-PRF-8805. It also has MIL-PRF-8805 QPL listings, thus providing established criteria for qualification.

The EN Series has:
o stainless steel housing for use in tough environments
o wide operating temperature range of -54 °C to 85 °C [-65 °F to 185 °F]
o high electrical load capacity (1 A to 15 A resistive) which means the switch does not require a separate source for operation
o top plunger, top roller plunger, top rotary actuators available; the top plunger and roller plunger actuators have an internal ice scraper ring
o leadwire, leadwire with connector, screw, side or bottom receptacle terminations allow flexibility in electrical connections
o SPDT or DPDT contact configurations
o package size of 114,3 mm H x 28,58 mm W x 25,4 mm L [4.5 in H x 1.125 in W x 1.0 in L]

In addition to the standard sizes, miniature housing constructions are available with similar actuator styles. The miniature versions meet the demand for smaller size and lighter weight without sacrificing performance or electrical capacity. The miniature version housing is 7,92 mm [0.312 in] smaller in diameter and weighs 14,2 g [0.5 oz] less than the standard version. The EN Series may also be customized to meet user application requirements.
