Eurotherm, Action Instruments Announces New, Field Configurable, Thermocouple Input Limit Alarm with TouchCAL(TM) Technology, WV Series Model WV128
SAN DIEGO, CA - Eurotherm, Action Instruments group announces the immediate availability of the new WV Series model WV128, thermocouple input, dual setpoint limit alarm with TouchCAL(TM) technology. This high density, field configurable, DIN rail mount device accepts the most popular thermocouple input types and provides two selectable relay output functions.
Model WV128 is powered by a flexible 9 to 30 V DC and is field configurable via DIP switches for selecting either B, E, J, K, R, S or T thermocouple type. The dual relay alarm outputs are also field configurable via DIP switches and can be set as high or low alarms to operate in failsafe or non-failsafe modes. This outstanding flexibility ensures that the device is available off-the-shelf, just when you need it, thereby reducing your inventory carrying costs. Configuration via DIP switches is remarkably simple and enables maximum setpoint resolution.
TouchCAL(TM) technology, a standard feature on the WV128, replaces the mechanical and thermal variability of potentiometers with the electronic stability of a microprocessor. This enables 100% adjustment of setpoints and deadbands and carries with it a string of benefits. It provides a reliable, digitally stable circuit ensuring better long-term performance and reliability. Calibration is as quick and easy as inputting the setpoint and deadband levels and pressing a recessed button to store the values in non-volatile memory.
There are two standard versions of the WV128. The WV128-0000 utilizes standard relays in that when power is removed, the relay transitions to its OFF state. The WV128-0001 incorporates latching relays. When a power loss occurs, the relay remains in its current state. A manual reset is required after power is re-applied in order to reset the relay and clear the alarm. The WV128-0001 does not support failsafe/non-failsafe operation. Both models are supported by a LIFETIME WARRANTY.
