Safety Category 4 Light Curtains Feature Muting & Blanking
Tarrytown, NY; October 16, 2006 ... SCHMERSAL is pleased to introduce their new
family of Safety Category 4 light curtains with muting and blanking capability. These
rugged, industrial-grade safety devices feature integral contactor monitoring,
start/restart interlock, and dual 500mA PNP safety outputs.
The Model SLC410-B Blanking units are available with resolutions of 14, 20, and 90
mm; protection fields of 160 mm to 1810 mm; and a range of up to 18 meters. The
Model SLC410-BM also features Master-Slave connection capability and integrated
muting sensors
The Model SLC415 is available in an "I", "L" or "T" configurations, with protection
fields of 310 mm, 510 mm, and 810 mm depending upon model. Ranges vary with
geometric configuration with the "L" suitable up to 2.5 meters, the "T" suitable up to
3.5 meters, and the "I" suitable up to 60 meters.
Units feature a durable, powder-coated aluminum housing; an IP65 ingress
protection rating; plug-in quick-connect cables; and a 7-segment LED for status
monitoring, ease-of-installation, and diagnostics to minimize downtime. Each unit is
IEC/EN 61496-1 and IEC/EN 61496-2, CE-compliant, and UL and CSA listed.
