New Hyster B80Z Walkie/Rider Lift Trucks Offer Power and Performance
Greenville, N.C. - (September 13, 2002) - The 8,000-pound capacity B80Z Walkie/Rider from Hyster Company now features a Separately Excited Motor (SEM), high-strength steel frame and state-of-the-art electronics that provide improved performance and reliability.
The SEM system increases efficiency and battery shift life, thereby lowering overall ownership costs, by using fewer parts and wiring. The system also features a built-in adjustable performance selector that can tailor the functionality of the B80Z to specific application needs.
A new splined coupling provides for a quieter unit and improves maintenance time by simplifying the removal and reinstallation of replacement parts. The service compartment is secured safely behind a dent-resistant cowl cover that is easily removed to allow complete access to the service compartment. The pre-lubed, tapered roller bearings in the steering unit eliminate periodic maintenance and provide low-effort control.
Standard features of the B80Z Walkie/Rider include box-rail construction and 48-inch tapered pallet fork tips, exit rollers and runners. Hyster also outfitted all Walkie/Riders with HTX bushings at all pivot points to achieve complete lubrication.
Spring-loaded, polyurethane caster wheels ensure smooth travel over uneven warehouse floors and increase stability when cornering or with uneven loads.
Optional equipment on the B80Z includes 96-inch forks that hold two 48-inch pallets. The forks are tapered to allow easy entry and egress, helping operators with long runs handle twice the load.
The optional equipment also includes a cold storage/freezer and corrosion package that uses electroless nickel-plated linkage pivot pins and bearings to eliminate deterioration and simplify servicing.
