Removable Bollards Quick & Easy with New Lidded Ground Sleeve

TrafficGuard Direct, Inc., a Illinois based manufacturer of manually operated Removable and Collapsible Bollards, announces a new lidded ground sleeve marking a significant improvement to 3 different Removable Bollards in its current product line. The new sleeve gives users a quick and easy way to remove their bollard while providing a flush surface.

The new sleeve is a major improvement for bollard applications where the bollard will be infrequently removed for brief periods to allow vehicle access. A trail or fire lane (link to: www.trafficguard.net/applications/location.php?sect=ped) where emergency vehicle access is needed or generator protection (link to: www.trafficguard.net/applications/bollard.php?sect=top) where occasional maintenance is required are good examples. Customers using the Round Post Top Lock (link to: www.trafficguard.net/removable/rou_pos_toploc.html) bollard, for example, will now simply remove the post and the ground sleeve lid will drop down on the ground sleeve, providing a flush driving surface allowing for quick and easy access. The ¼" thick galvanized lid is also very durable.

TrafficGuard will continue to offer its heavy traffic ground sleeve option that requires the end user to replace the bollard post with a filler piece. This type of ground sleeve is the right selection for users that will have their bollards removed most of the time and will see heavy traffic travel over the sleeves. Military bases (link to: www.trafficguard.net/applications/location.php?sect=gov) and streetscape projects (http://www.trafficguard.net/applications/location.php?sect=str) are good examples of this.
