Lexair's Self Reciprocating, Magnetically Detented Magna-Cycle Valve Requires No Electrical Interface

LEXINGTON, KY (November 21, 2005) - The Magna-Cycle magnetically detented 4-way control valve from Lexair is a spool type, air pilot actuated valve. An adjustable permanent magnet in each actuating chamber holds the spool in position until the pilot pressure exceeds the holding power of the magnet. This magnetic detent action in the actuating chamber enables automatic control actions to be consistently and reliably repeated without the need for an electrical or mechanical interface, making it ideal for hostile or potentially explosive environments.

Constructed of corrosion-resistant solid brass, the load-sensing, manifold mounted valve features a precision lapped fit stainless steel spool. It is sub-plate mounted with port sizes ¼" to ½" NPT or SAE and has a pneumatic pressure rating of 150 psi.

Operations include continuous reciprocation of a cylinder, sequential operation of two or more cylinders, adjustable or fixed time delays of a cylinder, force sensing and pressure sensing, all with no mechanical or electrical connections. Magna-Cycle is available with various combinations of magnetic detents and actuators.

Lexair manufactures a full line of standard and specialty fluid power products including hydraulic, pneumatic and process control valves for industrial, mobile, marine, aerospace and custom-designed valves for unique OEM applications.
