Level Sensors operate continuously in hazardous locations.

Press Release Summary:

Custom-manufactured to user specifications, Series RPM Resistive Chain Level Sensors come in lengths up to 20 ft with variety of mounting configurations. Output options include resistive chain or loop powered 4-20 mA. Permanent magnet inside anti-stick float acts on series of closely-spaced reed switches and resistors inside stem. Sensors convert total resistance value into voltage or current signal that is proportional to level of liquid.

Rugged and Highly Reliable Continuous Level Measurement in All Hazardous Locations

LOGAN, UT - Scientific Technologies, Inc., Automation Products Group, introduces RPM Resistive Chain Level Measurement Sensors. Rated for use in all hazardous locations, these continuous level sensors are custom manufactured to user specifications. As a result, the RPM series precisely satisfies application requirements for reliable operation in the chemical, oil, food processing, and waste treatment industries, among others.

RPM series sensors come in lengths up to six meters (20 ft.) with a variety of available mounting configurations. Output options include resistive chain or loop powered 4-20 mA.

The sensors have only one moving part, an anti-stick float that moves up and down a vertical stem. A permanent magnet inside the float acts on a series of closely spaced reed switches and resistors inside the stem. The sensor converts the total resistance value into a voltage or current signal that is proportional to the level of the liquid.
