Navitar's Platinum Series 25mm Multi-Magnification Lens
Rochester, New York (October 30, 2003) - Navitar, Inc. presents our 25mm Multi-Magnification lens (part # 1-15838), the first lens in our new Platinum Series of Multi-Magnification lenses. This wide-angle lens will cover up to a 42mm image format ideal for line-scan and area-scan cameras. It is designed for vision system applications to allow cameras to inspect large areas without the great distance required by a typical lens.
Navitar's new 25mm Platinum Lens works with F-mount and C-mount cameras and resolves 180 line pairs per millimeter. It is specifically optimized to shift between any magnification from 0.1X to 0.5X while sustaining diffraction-limited image quality of less than 0.13% distortion. Its low distortion permits cameras to determine dimensional measurements without the need for software calibration on vision systems.
The 25mm Platinum Lens provides a depth of field ranging from 15.4mm at 0.1X to 1.1mm at 0.5X. This lens is focusable from 50mm to infinity and features a fixed F/8 aperture, which allows for a balance between depth of field and resolution while maintaining significant light-gathering power.
