Original Press Release:
Self-Aligning LED Spacer Mounts
Astoria, N.Y... A precision engineered series of self-aligning LED mounts for Bi-Lead, T1 & T1 ¾ LEDs is now available from Keystone Electronics Corp., Astoria, New York.
A unique design feature is an internally tapered barrier that guides the LED leads through a mount, assuring proper alignment on 0.100" (2.54mm) centers. This also helps eliminate labor and assembly costs while removing the potential for crimping or shorting LED leads. No special tools are required for efficient preassembly to PC Boards.
Molded from Nylon material, (rated UL 94V-2), these mounts control heights from 0.120" to 0.925" (3.04mm to 23.49mm) with 0.020" (0.5mm) bosses. Bosses lift the mount to serve the dual purpose of "heat dissipation" and "post solder clean-up".
A group of "Universal" LED Spacer Mounts, accommodating both Tri-Lead and Bi-Lead T1 & T1 ¾ LED, is also manufactured by the company. These are black Nylon molded (UL 94V-0 rated), in 0.120" to 0.925" (3.04mm to 23.49mm) lengths. Special features include the ability to separate and retain component leads, facilitating PCB mounting and accommodating uses for lamps, resistors, transistors, diodes, capacitors and related components.
All Keystone LED spacer mount prices start at less than $5.00 per hundred, in bulk, and are available from stock through Keystone's global distribution network. An ISO-9001 certified company, Keystone offers a comprehensive line of interconnect hardware and components in addition to stamping, machining and assembly services. For modifications and special designs, application and engineering services are available. Company headquarters are located in the U.S.A. with offices in Europe, Canada, Asia and Australia.
