Product Applications: The VARESE post top luminaire is well proportioned for illumination of streetscapes and other pedestrian gathering areas. Applications include corporate and educational campuses, technology centers, and municipalities; public parks and arboretums; upscale hospitality and entertainment venues; and medical and institutional settings.
Product Description: VARESE expands HessAmerica’s range of contemporary post top luminaires with fresh new styling to complement traditional and modern settings or architecture. Simple flowing cylindrical lines with no visible hardware exemplify Bauhaus styling. Designed solely around LED sources, the solid-state luminaire offers a choice of symmetric or asymmetric distributions to satisfy various site lighting requirements. The light engines, developed for area and street lighting, provide excellent uniformity with spacings up to five mounting heights possible. The luminaire is available in a choice of Type II, Type III, or Type V distributions. The LEDs may be warm or neutral color temperatures with a CRI greater than 80.
The VARESE luminaire tapers gently down and transitions seamlessly to the four-inch diameter round straight pole, producing the unique appearance of a singular, unitized assembly. The round straight pole is available in 12’ or 14’ heights in steel or aluminum.
Standard colors are matte silver grey metallic, dark grey, or black. Special colors available on request.
Construction and Finishes: The VARESE housing consists of the cast aluminum luminaire base and top. The base features an integral fitter, which is secured to the 3" OD pole top tenon with recessed stainless steel setscrews. Cylindrical lens is clear acrylic. Stainless steel rods support the LED light engine. VARESE light engines are available with Type II, Type III, or Type V optics. Power consumption is 25 watts or 37 watts depending on the optics and LED module selected. Color temperatures may be 3000K or 4000K with a CRI greater than 80. High power factor electronic drivers accommodate 120v through 277v input at 50/60Hz. 0-10v dimming is available on request. Pole with flush mounted hand hole may be 4" O.D. round straight aluminum or steel in heights of 12’ or 14’. Aluminum poles are fabricated from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. Steel poles are manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric weld, mechanical tubing. Steel pole is hot-dip galvanized prior to painting for proven long-term corrosion protection. Tamper-resistance locking device prevents unauthorized entry.
The luminaire and pole are finished in finely textured, high quality paint. Standard colors are matte silver grey metallic, dark grey, or black. Special colors available on request. All hardware is stainless steel.
