MaxLite Introduces Second Generation Element LED Flood Lights for Challenging Outdoor Applications



West Caldwell, New Jersey – Perfect for a wide range of commercial flood light applications and general area illumination, MaxLite® introduces the second generation Element Flood Light Series, a unique, flexible lighting system featuring self-contained modular elements in various lumen output and optics capabilities. Certified by DesignLights™ Consortium (DLC), the upgraded LED Flood Lights are designed to replace metal halide fixtures for a wide variety of outdoor lighting applications including auto showroom parking lots, golf driving ranges, sports parks, marine harbors and other outdoor spaces.



“Upgrading the second generation Element LED Flood Lights with additional user friendly features and increasingly cost effective manufacturing processes helps make this series the perfect energy efficient, and value engineered replacements for metal halide fixtures ranging in wattage from 250 to 1,000,” said Pat Treadway, Vice President Product Marketing and Engineering. “These increasingly versatile high powered fixtures can be custom ordered in a variety of configurations and optics.”



Element LED Flood Lights offer a modular housing design that can be specified in one-, two- or three- 135-watt modules, where each module can have one of three beam angles in 22-, 55- and 120-degrees. Customized configurations allow users to create distributions not previously obtainable with flood lights. Multiple circuits on each module guard against full module light outage.



Available in a 5000K correlated color temperature (CCT), the models are constructed with a die cast aluminum body that acts a heat sink running across the module length, and stainless steel bushings and adjustment protector plates. A tempered glass lens seals the module to protect against dust ingress and water to an IP65 rating while the fixture is engineered to operate at temperatures ranging from -22°F to 122°F. The chassis yoke mount includes a 270-degree pivot base plate and an integrated arm protractor for precision aiming. Element LED Flood Lights include a discreet J-Box that enables easy installation in the field and modular repair. The fixtures offer a power factor of 99 percent and operate on universal 120- to 277-volt electrical systems, but can be special ordered for 347- and 480-volt systems.
