Lumex Introduces New Time-and-Temperature 5-Digit LED Display
PALATINE, IL--Lumex, Inc. is announcing a new 5-digit LED display designed for indication of both time and temperature. This unit, Lumex model LDP-A566RI, features five 0.56-inch (14.22mm) high numeric characters, plus decimal points, colons, and a degree symbol, all packaged in a single dual in-line package (DIP). It's ideal for a wide range of front-panel applications where a display of time, temperature--or both--is needed.
Lumex's LDP-A566RI features a gray face with milky white diffused segments (when not illuminated). Standard emitted color is Super Red (660nm), with green, blue, or white available. Segments are driven via a common anode.
Typical operating current is 10mA, and both storage and operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Maximum device dissipation at 25°C is 100mW.
The DIP package features 44 pins in two rows of 22 each. Pins are on 0.10-inch (2.54mm) centers, with a spacing between rows of 0.60-inch (15.24mm). Total package footprint is 0.75-inch (19.05mm) by 2.75-inch (69.85mm), with a thickness of 0.32-inch (8.0mm).
Samples of the LDP-A566RI with the standard Super Red segments are available from stock, with production quantities in 6 - 8 weeks. Pricing depends on quantity ordered and options specified. Typical pricing for the standard unit with red LEDs is $4.50 each in quantities of 1,000. Displays with blue or white LEDs are significantly more expensive.
