BivarOpto(TM) Introduces New Panel Mount LED Assemblies Offering Wide Range of Voltages and Easy, Labor Saving Mounting
IRVINE, Calif. - September 18, 2002 - BivarOpto(TM), the Optoelectronics Division of Bivar, Inc., has introduced the PM and MP Series of Panel Mount Assemblies. Offered in a wide range of voltages with a variety of wire harnesses and connectors, the new assemblies feature a simple universal mounting design that significantly reduces labor and assembly costs.
Both the PM and MP series assemblies are offered with forward voltages from 2V through 12 V using integrated resistors and 14V-28V using external resistors. Low current, 2mA versions are also available to fulfill a wide range of panel mounted indicator requirements. Both series provide improved vibration and shock resistance. The PM series assemblies are manufactured from UL rated 94V-0 black 6 Nylon for rigidity and strength and come standard with pin terminals or six-inch 24AWG wire leads. Wire harnesses up to 48 inch are available upon request. The PM series assemblies press-fit mount in 0.157 inch (4.00mm) holes (PM3 Series), or larger 0.250 inch (7.11mm) holes (PM5 Series), in panel thicknesses of 0.047 inch (1.2mm) to 0.093 (2.4mm). The MP Metal Series utilize a stainless steel nut and locking washer, both supplied by Bivar, to secure both the 3mm (MP3 Series) and 5mm (MP5 Series) in panels from 0.047 (1.2mm) to 0.250 (6.35mm) thick.

Amber, Blue and Red/Green Bi-Color. Connector interface options include standard 0.100 inch (2.54 mm) pitch header connectors, miniature 0.075 inch (2.54mm) pitch header connectors, or
customer specified interfaces.
