Original Press Release:

Flip-Up Filter Converts Leak Detection Flashlight Into Standard Flashlight

Westbury, New York - HVAC/R technicians are flipping over the new Spectroline® TITAN® Stinger®2, a "two-in-one tool" that is both a cordless fluorescent leak detection flashlight and a regular flashlight. At the flick of a finger, the filter pivots to the side of the lamp and changes it from a UV/Blue(TM) inspection light to a standard flashlight.

The compact, portable TITAN Stinger 2 easily pinpoints leaks in cramped, hard-to-reach areas of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The output of its powerful Xenon-filled bulb is greatly magnified by state-of-the-art dichroic filter lens technology, so even the faintest leaks glow brightly. As a result, leak detection time is reduced significantly.

The TITAN Stinger 2 has "no strings attached," because it is powered by a rechargeable NiCad battery that provides one full hour of continuous inspection time or 3 to 4 hours of sporadic use. The lamp comes with a wall-mountable charging cradle and an AC charging cord.

The TITAN Stinger 2 has an adjustable-focus beam that permits a spot beam for tight inspections and a flood beam for wider coverage. The lamp also has an "instant-on" bulb that delivers its full power instantly and eliminates warm-up waits.
