Leading Optical Lens Maker to Control Coating Viscosity with Cambridge Viscometers

An international optical manufacturer has purchased eight process viscometers from Cambridge Viscosity, a leader in advanced laboratory and production viscometer systems. The company will use the in-line viscometers to control specialized coatings applied to lenses during the manufacturing process at their Southeast Asia plant.

The company's engineers began testing Cambridge viscometers at their Florida facilities in 2001, and the instruments were approved for use in their lens coating manufacturing process in 2002. The company selected Cambridge viscometers for their accuracy, reliability and ease of integration.

Robert Kasameyer, president of Cambridge Viscosity, says the company initially chose Cambridge viscometers for testing because of the compact and reliable design. "After an exhaustive validation process, they determined our viscometers could achieve highly accurate, repeatable results and be relied upon for tight control and low maintenance. Cambridge units have now been installed at all of their manufacturing facilities worldwide."

About Cambridge Viscosity

Cambridge Viscosity sets the standard for extraordinarily precise, reliable and low maintenance viscosity measurement and control systems.
