Original Press Release:
New Digital Laser Non-Contact Tachometer to Measure RPM Up to 100,000 RPM
Kernco Instruments Co., Inc. is pleased to introduce its Model 2234C, a LCD laser beam tachometer designed to measure RPM from 10 to 100,000 RPM without contacting a moving shaft. It can be used in all industries where machine shaft and rotating members have to be monitored and where safety and convenience is required.
For high RPM measurements a contact type tachometer is not ideal. For safety purposes, the Model 2234C laser tachometer using the non-contact laser beam target method is recommended. Place the reflective tape on the shaft to be measured, aim the laser at the shaft, and press the button for a reading. You can measure from 2" to 6" from the target.
Features include: oAccuracy of ±1 RPM (from 10 to 5,000 RPM) and ±0.05 (from 5,000 to 100,000 RPM) oReadings are obtained once per second oUnit has a memory button to recall last, maximum and minimum readings oModel is battery operated (uses 4 1.5V "AA" batteries) oModel is CE Certified.
