MagnaChip Launches High Resolution QVGA LCD Driver Chip for Mobile Phones
New solution 30% smaller size than comparable product offerings
SEOUL, South Korea, July 17 / -- MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, today, announced the launch of its one-chip, high resolution LCD driver solution for high end mobile phones, Digital Media Broadcasting (DMB) and mobile TV phones.
The LCD driver chip (MC2TA7501) product offering supports high resolution at QVGA level (240x320) and is 30% smaller than existing MagnaChip QVGA chipsets. The product supports RGB interface from 6 bit to 18 bit and MPU interface at 68/80 modes, applicable for high end mobile phones and DMB devices. The LCD chip offers minimum power consumption and 260,000 colors.
