MagnaChip Releases New LCD Driver Chip for Cell Phones High Definition QVGA (240RGBx320) LTPS LCD Driver Chip



SEOUL, South Korea, July 20 -- MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, today announced that it has begun to ship a new cell phone LCD driver chip to the world's leading cell phone display module makers.

The new product supports QVGA (240RGBx320) resolution and can be easily mounted on high definition Low Temperature Polysilicon (LTPS) LCD panels. The new driver IC has an embedded controller offering Picture in Picture (PIP) and EEPROM memory that improves and tweaks the picture quality, thus providing improved benefits vs. previous chips.
