Lumex Introduces New Large-Size LCD Character Module
PALATINE, IL--Lumex Inc. is introducing a new liquid crystal display (LCD) with 160 large, easy-to-read dot-matrix characters. The LCM-H04004DSR/D2T features four lines of 40 characters, each of which measures 5.16mm wide by 10.52mm high (0.20" by 0.41"). Total viewable area is a large 254.1mm wide by 56.6mm high (10.00" by 2.23"). Applications for these big displays include machinery control panels, utility stations, printing presses, irrigation control panels, engine controls, monitoring panels, instruments, or any type of equipment that needs a large, easy-to-read display of alpha-numeric information.
The LCM-H04004DSR/D2T is an STN transflective display with a built-in rugged and reliable LED backlight. This 4 line x 40 character display utilizes individual characters which are formed by a matrix of dots which is 5 across by 8 high.
The module incorporates a temperature compensation circuit and also features electronically adjustable contrast. Operation is from a single 5V power supply, across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. Overall dimensions of the LCD module are 288.3mm wide by 77.5mm high (11.35" by 3.05"). Total thickness of the unit is 7.9mm (0.31"). Signal and power connections are made via a single 26-pin dual-in-line connector on the right-hand side of the unit.
This large Lumex LCD is available with or without backlight, in transflective or reflective versions, and in a standard (0 to +50°C) or wide (-20°C to +70°C) operating temperature range.
