FLS 542-C Flashlamp-Pumped Laser for Precision Welding
Arlington Heights, IL Sept 2004: LASAG Industrial Lasers, a world leading manufacturer of industrial solid state lasers, is proud to present new laser solutions with innovative laser sources, beam deliveries and customer-friendly databases at our booth B-6135 at IMTS.
Featured live demonstration of the new FLS 542-C flashlamp-pumped lasers for precision welding. The unit is equipped with a Real-Time Power-Supply for highly reproducible spot and seam welding applications. We will demonstrate the new welding process SHADOW (Stepless High Accurate and Discrete One Pulse Welding). The process uses a single pulse for a complete seam weld, particularly advantageous for circular hermetic weld. It has the advantages of being very fast and creating a small heat effect zone. The first industrial application is presently being done in production at a leading watch manufacturer.
Lasag will include in the booth the field proven KLS246 cutting and drilling laser integrated on our HO ProLas workstation. A live demonstration of the KLS246 drilling small holes simulating a filter application will be featured. This laser application is currently handled with the KLS 246 in production facilities across the world.
During your visit, include a demonstration of our parameter database and pulse forming capabilities, view different beam delivery configurations along with actual parts being processed daily across the globe with LASAG lasers. The new laser sources and laser related components to be exhibited during IMTS 2004, enables the user to solve demanding industrial applications with high throughput, superior quality and repeatability, typically for the Automotive, Electronics, Medical Device, Aerospace and other industries.
