Laser Attachment suits alignment applications.

Press Release Summary:

90-Line takes laser reference beam from Laser Microgage and turns it exactly 90 deg for squaring machinery, checking shaft alignment, and adjusting machine tools. It is machined from solid aluminum and covered with anodized coating. Exiting laser is square to incoming beam within 0.0006 deg or equivalent to 0.001 in. over distance of 8 ft. 90-Line can also create parallel lines for checking roller alignment, shafts, tracks, and mechanical guides.

Right Angle Laser Attachment Solves New Alignment Tasks

August, 2002, Newburyport, Massachusetts. Pinpoint Laser Systems is announcing the introduction of a unique new 90-degree beam bender for alignment applications. The "90-Line" takes the laser reference beam from Pinpoint's popular Laser Microgage and turns it exactly 90 degrees for squaring machinery, checking shaft alignment, adjusting machine tools, and other tasks. In addition, the 90-Line creates precise parallel lines for checking roller alignment, shafts, tracks, and mechanical guides. This new 90-Line is compact and easy to use, delivering the precision to align and adjust manufacturing equipment for improved efficiency and reliability.

The 90-Line is a durable housing that holds precision optical elements for redirecting the laser beam. The exiting laser is square to the incoming beam within 0.0006 degrees or equivalent to 0.001 inch over a distance of 8 feet. The housing has several adjustments, allowing the square exiting beam to rotate through a full plane - ideal for checking the squareness of stages, cross-bridges, machine tools, and related applications. The 90-Line is machined from solid aluminum and is covered with a hard, anodized coating for years of demanding use on the factory floor.
Mounting points on the housing allow for easy and quick attachment to equipment on the plant floor.

The 90-Line is ideal for roller alignment in paper mills, laminating operations, and applications where rollers and shafts need to be precisely positioned to one another. Its ability to set accurate parallel lines is well-suited to adjusting tracks and ways on precision machine tools, aligning production machinery, and demanding geometric alignments. The precision delivered by the 90-Line is perfect for squaring fixtures, aligning vertical cutting and milling tools, and checking the
alignment of presses and other manufacturing systems. There are countless uses for the 90-Line on the factory floor, in the field, and throughout industry.

The 90-Line and other innovative Pinpoint products are manufactured in the United States for manufacturing facilities, utilities, shipbuilding, aircraft assembly, electronic fabrication, and other industries.
