Two new lamps - covRfresh and Gold covRguard offer specific customer application benefits combined with the highest level of shatter-resistant protection and superior light output, with no compromise in performance. CovRfresh linear fluorescent lamps, ideal for grocery store and restaurant applications, combine two product attributes previously unmatched in a display case lamp - shatter resistance and color enhancement. These lamps provide USDA compliant shatter protection for food lighting. Wrapped in an exclusive amber gold polvcarbonate coating, GE's Gold covRguard lamps eliminate light leakage at the lamp end, making them ideal for a variety of UV light sensitive applications including integrated circuit manufacturing, as well as film and select food processing. This product is available in multiple diameters and lengths, providing the perfect fit for a variety of customer needs - and unlike standard gold phosphor lamps or loose sleeves, the exclusive GE lamp is guaranteed not to deform or change color. Wrapped in a full 1 5-mil thick shield of polycarbonate plastic, covRfresh and Gold covRguard lamps have been specifically designed to help contain glass fragments, should the bulbs break. This Lexan® polycarbonate plastic provides excellent UV stability (filtering 98 percent of all UV rays) and reduces glare more than standard fluorescent products.
