New Ignitron(TM) EN/ES Lamps from EYE Lighting International of North America Provide Energy Saving and Operational Cost Saving Solutions for High Pressure Sodium Lighting
CLEVELAND (August, 2002) -- EYE Lighting introduces its new Ignitron(TM) EN/ES lamps to respond to the growing demand for energy saving products. For use in parking, roadway, security and industrial applications, the energy-saving High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamp provides a variety of features to save maintenance costs in both system components and labor.
The innovative new Ignitron EN/ES lamp provides the lowest maintenance HPS lighting system available. Ignitron is available in standard wattages ranging from 50 to 1000 watts. These two new Ignitron EN/ES lamps can save up to 40 watts per lamp compared to standard HPS lamps. In turn, these can equal energy savings up to $96 per lamp.
With Patented Iwasaki features such as a built-in Ferro-Electric Capacitor (FEC) Ignitor, unique electrode design and low voltage starting aid, the Ignitron EN/ES delays electrode deterioration, hard starting, end darkening and voltage rise.
The unique electrode design of the Ignitron EN/ES lamp provides for high lumen maintenance. Precise chemistries coupled with electrode design in the lamp provide quick and easy starting and allows the lamp to meet or exceed its rated life.
Unlike standard HPS lamps, which require a powerful 2500-volt starting pulse, the starting aid inside the Ignitron EN/ES requires only a 1200-volt low energy starting pulse. In addition, this "built-in" FEC Ignitor eliminates the need for a costly fixture starter, while generating less than half the damaging high voltage pulse for lamp starting.
