New KVM on the NET Switches Offer Flexibility and Advanced Security Features

The new KN2108/2116 CAT5 KVM on the NET solutions, available in 8- and 16-port units, are part of the ALTUSEN line of enterprise-class KVM solutions from ATEN. The KN2108/2116 units provide secure local and remote access to up to 128 servers through cascading and include remote and advanced encryption technologies to maintain network security. Available today, the new KN2108/2116 CAT5 KVM on the NET switches are priced competitively at $1699.95 and $2995.95, respectively.
In terms of improved usability, the KN2108/2116 features an innovative multi-session visual capability that allows users to monitor up to 16 computers simultaneously on-screen to gain better visibility into server activities. Three users (two remote via IP and one local) can control three different connected computers simultaneously, and up to 32 concurrent remote users can access the KN2108/2116 switches via IP.
The new KN2108 and KN2116 switches offer a range of benefits for network administrators. The units' built-in IP ports give administrators access to server racks and data centers from off-site locations via a web browser -- eliminating unnecessary travel and associated costs. The local access port gives users access to the data center while inside the server room using local console. In addition, the units' CAT5 port improves cable management through the use of thinner cables, reducing clutter in the rack.
