Original Press Release:

Send High-Res KVM Signals up to 3,300 Feet Away

New CyberResearch® KVME 1225 KVM extenders use fiber-optic technology to send KVM signals up to 3,300 ft. from the source computer. That's almost 7 times farther than typical copper-cable units. The new KVME models also give you KVM and audio simultaneously at both the sending end and receiving end.

With KVME 1225 extenders from CyberResearch, you can have a local keyboard, mouse, monitor and speakers near your PC and also at a remote location up to 3,300 ft. away. Keyboard, VGA/RGB video, DVI, mouse, serial, and audio port signals are carried via duplex fiber-optic cables. Because the transmitter simultaneously sends all types of signals, you can use one type of signal at one end and the same or different type of signal at the other end. All signal conversions are handled automatically.

KVME 1225 transmitter/receiver pairs require two multimode fibers with standard SC, ST, or LC connectors, so they can support VGA/RGB and DVI resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 pixels. Duplex mic and stereo audio signals are fully supported. These modules offer full support for PS/2, USB, and legacy SUN keyboards and mice. Backlit displays show menu choices; membrane buttons provide navigation.

In addition to fiber-optic, wireless, and conventional KVMs - now shipping from stock - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs and monitors, as well as CPU cards, data acquisition, and motion control.
