KROHNE to Showcase Products for Mining at 2016 SME Conference and Expo

Visit booth 1640 to learn more about the latest flow meters and level meters suitable for minerals and mining

Peabody, MA – KROHNE, Inc. will showcase a wide range of its industry-leading mining products at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration’s (SME’s) 2016 Conference and Exposition, to be held February 21-24, 2016 at the Colorado Convention Complex in Denver, CO. KROHNE experts will be on hand in booth 1640 to demonstrate the capabilities of the OPTIFLUX 4300 electromagnetic flowmeter, OPTIWAVE 6300 level meter, OPTIWAVE 5200 level meter, and OPTIMASS 7300 Coriolis mass flowmeter. Experts will also be available to discuss use of the equipment for applications in the minerals and mining industry.

On display in booth 1640 will be the OPTIFLUX 4300 electromagnetic flowmeter, which is suitable for ambient temperatures of -40 to140°F (-40 to 60°C)), with configurations available for process temperatures up to 356°F (180°C). The OPTIFLUX 4300 is especially suited for dredging, hydrotransport of minerals, and ore applications.

The OPTIWAVE 6300 on display is a radar instrument for accurate measurement of solids level, ideal for measuring powder, granulates and bulk solids in buffer silos, hoppers, bulk storage containers, and on conveyor belts. This product offers fast and easy installation and start-up, and eliminates the need for an antenna aiming. Unique drop antenna greatly improves performance in dusty or coating solids applications without the need for purging or cleaning.

The OPTIWAVE 5200 C/F featured in the booth is a radar level meter for liquid applications. The cost effective 2-wire loop powered device measures level and volume in storage or process tanks with process conditions up to 250°C (482°F) and pressures up to 40 bar (580 psi) for general purpose or hazardous locations (Class 1/Div 1and also meets source integrity level (SIL) requirements and offers 4…20 mA with HART communication with PACTware DTM’s at no extra charge.

Also featured will be the OPTIMASS 7300 single straight tube Coriolis mass flowmeter, suitable for measuring highly aggressive or corrosive fluids. The OPTIMASS 7300 features a no-hassle installation and superior performance for slurry density and mass flow. Previously available in stainless steel, Hastelloy C and titanium, the OPTIMASS 7300 is now available with tantalum-wetted material construction, an affordable solution for the safe and reliable measurement of fluids that require glass lined piping.
