Switches Unlimited exhibits at Interphex USA 2003 Congress Sealed IP67 Rugged Keyboards

Despite its rugged stainless steel and zinc-alloy build, the keyboard has a smooth, 1.5mm short-travel keystroke, which enhances high-speed typing; a strong, positive tactile feedback can be detected even through gloved hands. Sealed to IP67 standards these keyboards offer high levels of shock and vibration resistance, making them suitable for many machine type controls that are in harsh or hostile industrial environments. The keyboard keys cannot be pulled off and are non-flammable; they are finished in matte chrome and laser engraved for high-definition marking that will not corrode or wear off. Adding to its versatility this rugged keyboard is available in 10 different language layouts as standard. Custom laser engraving service is also available for specific symbols and legends.
EAO offers a choice of pointing devices: Trackballs or Touchpads, which can either be supplied as separate modules or integrated within the keyboard for mounting as a single unit. With the added benefit of a USB interface, these products can be quickly connected to a PC without additional software; a PS2 connection can also be specified.
