Global machine tool supplier leverages Solid Edge's flexibility and user-friendly design
PLANO, Texas, Aug. 14 // -- UGS, a leading global supplier of software and services for product lifecycle management (PLM), today announced that KALTENBACH Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, a global supplier of machine tools, has selected Solid Edge® 3D CAD software to develop its range of circular and band saw machines as well as sectional steel processing systems.
Solid Edge is a premier design-centric solution in the mid-range CAD industry and the core CAD component of the UGS Velocity Series(TM) portfolio.
Following evaluation of several competing products, KALTENBACH selected Solid Edge for its flexibility, user-friendly design and customer support. In selecting and implementing the system, KALTENBACH was advised by UGS partner Solid System Team GmbH.
