Sauer-Danfoss Expands Its Line of Joysticks, Offering More Options for Machine Control

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, USA; SAUER-DANFOSS INC. (NYSE: SHS; FSE: SAR) Sauer-Danfoss is announcing a newly expanded line of joysticks to meet a wider range of mobile machine requirements. The larger joystick family offers a broader range of interchangeable base and grip options. The expanded line provides choices from mini-rollers and mini-rockers for light-duty machines and chest packs to standard, heavy-duty and custom designed base and grip solutions for more demanding applications. The ability to interchange base and grip options provides great flexibility and a mix and match environment for equipment design engineers who need to overcome current compatibility constraints. The joysticks are also PLUS 1(TM) compliant for easy integration into Sauer-Danfoss systems.

To facilitate the expansion of the range and functionality of its line of joysticks, Sauer-Danfoss has entered into an exclusive agreement with Penny & Giles, a global leader in joystick design and manufacturing. They will now work cooperatively on new product designs for Sauer-Danfoss, exclusively in the mobile machinery market. The combination of Sauer-Danfoss' extensive experience in mobile machine control and Penny & Giles' global leadership in joystick design and manufacturing has resulted in a broad, high quality line that has the right features for each machine's unique application.

"Our arrangement with Penny & Giles gives us a much broader range of options so mobile equipment manufacturers will be able to easily create the exact configuration they need for a specific application," said Len Walton, Director, Strategic Business Development, Mobile Electronics. "Our joysticks have always demonstrated reliability, such as in skid steer loaders and aerial lift applications, even in the harshest of environments. This expanded line, together with the PLUS 1 system, now opens up a new, more flexible world for machine design engineers to work in. They will be able to create machine control interfaces that differentiate their machines and make operation and maintenance easier for owners and operators."
