Original Press Release:

Lobster Tools Offers Long-Lasting Carbide Jaws

Lobster Tools' Carbide Jaws meet the same specifications as standard "tail" jaws used in riveting applications, but last up to ten times longer. The carbide jaws are made of a harder material than standard jaws, for longer life. They are most effective when used with stainless steel rivets.

The Lobster Tools Carbide Jaws supplement the current highly acclaimed Ultra Jaws used in the complete line of riveters. Since 1986, the Ultra Jaws have given the user excellent clamping ability and durability. Lobster Tools "tail" jaws are designed to clamp onto the mandrel portion a rivet, holding it in place while it is pulled through the body of the rivet. This causes the rivet body to expand on the blind side of the fastened material. The addition of Carbide Jaws now assists Lobster Tools use in high strength material applications and those that are high volume. The Carbide Jaws are available for use in all Lobster "M" tools that set a range of rivets from 3/32" diameter to 3/16" diameter in all materials. This includes Lobster's newest line of OSHA-friendly tools, the lightweight
AR-2000 series.
