MILFORD, Mass. -- Manhattan Software, the global leader in enterprise real estate software and a leader in the 2011 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integrated Workplace Management Systems, has announced its 2012 Manhattan IWMS software release which aids organizations around the world to better and more easily plan and manage their valuable real estate portfolios. Manhattan 2012 helps ensure they are providing the correct built resources to enhance the productivity of their workforces while optimizing their use of space and decreasing the cost of occupancy.

Developed in close collaboration with existing customers, Manhattan 2012 includes:

-- New advanced, interactive intelligence
-- Support for an additional six languages
-- A new version of Manhattan GIS integration
-- Workflow enhancements
-- Increased performance across its strategic portfolio planning application.

In addition, advanced functionality has been added to Project Management, Operations and Maintenance, and Financials.

Advanced Project Management will further help project managers deliver new buildings or renovations on time and on budget. Enhancements include automatic e-mail tender processing, the ability for users to define project scope and improved resource allocation and security at the task level.

Advanced Operations and Maintenance will help to minimize lost productivity, improve work performance and maintain the best possible service levels. Enhancements include the introduction of mobility applications beginning with Mobile Work Order capabilities for viewing, manipulating and inputting data on a smart phone or tablet device; upgraded Service Level Agreement (SLA) functionality; an improved Work Request Portal; and increased provision of report grids and graphs.

Advanced Financials reinforces Manhattan Software's position as a global leader in providing IWMS functionality with full financial planning, analysis, accounting and reporting capabilities not present in other software packages. Enhancements include improvements to sales tax and CAM (including base year), new cash accounting and debt recovery features, combined occupier or investor rental budgeting, electronic cash receipting and de-allocation of transactions.

"While Manhattan is the most robust IWMS product in the marketplace that includes unique financial management and investment functionality, we are continuing to refine and redefine the way our users work with the product to ensure maximum value for their real estate and facility management organizations," said Craig Gillespie, CEO of Manhattan Software, Americas. "The 2012 release includes many enhancements that were created through input from our global client base who told us that the product needed to be available in more languages as we collectively penetrate more of the worldwide market in a growing number of industries. They also recommended that it needed to have more visual reporting of Manhattan data, increased project management functionality, additional financial capabilities and be available on mobile devices. We are proud to deliver on our customers' key requirements in this new release."
