Honeywell Introduces Enhancements to Durafet pH Electrodes
PHOENIX, May 7, 2004 - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Process Solutions today introduced the Durafet III pH electrode, a non-glass and unbreakable ISFET-based pH sensor. Featuring a new Vario Pin watertight connection, this industry-proven pH electrode provides fast, accurate and dependable pH measurement in the most demanding applications. A sanitary version is available to meet 3A standards for food and dairy, pharmaceutical and biotech applications. The new IP68-rated Vario Pin connector assures a watertight cable connection, enabling easy and reliable electrode replacement without twisting cables.
The Durafet III probe eliminates problems commonly associated with conventional glass electrodes such as: frequent probe replacement due to breakage; slow response due to probe aging; frequent calibration; and limited temperature and pH range. The rapid response of the Durafet III pH electrode allows real-time pH control, improving productivity and product quality while reducing consumption of costly chemical reagents. Real time pH control also eliminates the need for time-consuming grab samples.
Durafet III electrodes are available for industrial and sanitary applications. Typical applications for Durafet III include wastewater influent/effluent monitoring, neutralization, reagent addition control, plating, and quality control in food & dairy and pharmaceutical industries.
