Intrinsically Safe (IS) Valve Installation Up To 50% Less Expensive With PneuMagnetic's Revolutionary Actuator

Quakertown, PA, - Certain hazardous environments require the installation of Intrinsically Safe (IS) solenoid valves. Traditional IS valve installations are effective, yet extremely costly. This is because an IS system requires both an expensive IS solenoid coil and an IS barrier in addition to adherence to strict space, wiring and enclosure requirements which dramatically inflate the total installation cost. Compounding this is the reduced set of IS compatible valves from which to choose.

Now PneuMagnetic announces a new and improved approach to satisfying hazardous valve installations without the IS issues, and at much lower cost: the PneuMagnetic Actuator. The Actuator quickly converts direct acting solenoid valves to pneumatic operation. Cost savings of up to 50% is achieved by removing the electric hazard of a typical solenoid valve and replacing it with a simple air line.

"The PneuMagnetic Actuator is a direct drop-in replacement for OEM valve coils," according to Robert Altonji, President of PneuMagnetic LLC. "It allows the user to swap out the electric coil in minutes and achieve head-turning cost reductions in critical IS applications. Best of all, the Actuator improves system reliability and reduces space requirements... the elimination of intrinsically safe barriers allows an IS system to be installed in a much smaller space. In addition, the system designer has a wider range of valves from which to choose."

PneuMagnetic offers solutions for ASCO, Parker Skinner and many other leading valve manufacturers. A list is available at: www.pneumagnetic.com. PneuMagnetic is pleased to consult with interested parties on special valve applications.
