Interface Card inputs strain gauges.

Press Release Summary:

AP810 card allows 8 strain gauge half or full bridges to be connected in regulated 6-wire circuit. Excitation points are equipped with sense lines so cable effects are fully compensated. All 8 channels operate simultaneously, so there is no scanning and no multiplexing. Card has digital filtering for synchronous channel operation. Bessel and Butterworth filters are available, and measurement frequency is variable between 0.05-500 Hz.

New Eight-Channel Strain Gage Interface Card for Stress Analysis

Marlborough, MA - November 5, 2001 - HBM, Inc., a leading global supplier of measurement technology and data acquisition systems and software, announces the latest addition to its standard-setting line of multi-channel strain gage measurement products. The new AP810 Interface Card, together with HBM's ML801 amplifier, provides the unique benefit that all eight channels operate simultaneously - there is no scanning and no multiplexing. Digital filtering ensures synchronous channel operation and accurate phase relationships, even in multi-card applications. Sampling rates of up to 2400 samples/second are possible, Bessel and Butterworth filters are available, and the measurement frequency is variable between 0.05 Hz and 500 Hz with an effective resolution of 20 bits.

The AP810 allows eight Strain Gage half or full bridges to be connected in a regulated 6-wire circuit in which excitation points are equipped with sense lines so that cable effects are fully compensated. Four excitation voltages are available providing a measuring range of 4 mV/V to 80 mV/V (8,000 lm/m to 160,000 pm/m), and gage or bridge factors can be set directly. The AP810 also features a "Measurement without Excitation" mode so you can distinguish between external coupling and actual measurement signals. To further ensure measurement integrity, a high-impedance shunt calibration mode is also provided.
