Freescale Introduces MPC5125 Processor for High-Resolution Display and Human-Machine Interface Applications



AUSTIN, Texas - Expanding its 32-bit portfolio based on Power Architecture® technology, Freescale Semiconductor has introduced the MPC5125 processor, a highly integrated system-on-chip (SoC) device. The MPC5125 processor features dual Ethernet, dual universal serial bus (USB), four CAN interfaces and a graphical display controller capable of supporting display resolutions up to 720p/WXGA. The device starts at a suggested retail price of $10.95 at 10,000-unit quantities.

The MPC5125 offers 800 MIPS of performance at less than 1 watt, giving designers the flexibility to optimize designs while meeting energy budgets. The processor is ideal for industrial networking, automotive and human-machine interface applications, such as automotive telematics, digital signage, medical monitors, industrial control/ robotics and high-end lighting control.

To help speed development time, Freescale offers a suite of easy-to-use tools, development platforms and a wide variety of ready-to-use third-party enablement solutions.
