CHICAGO, IL - November 2005 - Klein Tools recently introduced its first insulated Klein-Kurve® tool, a multiple function insulated wire stripper/cutter with curved handles (Cat. No. 11055-INS). This new tool was designed to cut, strip, loop and gauge both solid and stranded wire while providing added protection against shock from energized sources up to 1,000 volts.

Measuring 8" long, and with easy-to-read gauge markings on both sides, this versatile tool strips both 10-18 solid and 12-20 stranded AWG wire and cleanly shears 6-32 and 8-32 screws. The tool's features include curved handles with comfortable, bright-orange grips, two layers of insulation to protect against electric shock, and integral guards to prevent hand contact with conductive parts. The handle's thick, exceptionally tough high-dielectric white inner coating is bonded to the tool, and the orange outer coating is flame-retardant and impact-resistant.

Like all Klein Tools insulated tools, the Klein-Kurve insulated wire stripper/cutter meets or exceeds the ASTM F1505-01, IEC 60900:2004 standards and complies with NFPA-70E, 2004 ed. It is clearly marked with the official 1000-volt rating symbol.

"The Klein-Kurve insulated wire stripper/cutter's high-quality design offers additional protection against shock and helps reduce the risk of injury during electrical and industrial applications," said Nancy Szankowski, product manager, Klein Tools.
