Belden IndustrialTuff® Instrumentation and Control Cables Fully Comply with ICEA Standards



RICHMOND, IN - Belden CDT Electronics Division, a world leader in the development of specialty cable products for the industrial market, is continually engaged with the committees that develop and approve industry standards to ensure that the most current requirements are being met. Accordingly, Belden offers IndustrialTuff 300V PLTC Instrumentation cables, Thermocouple Extension cables, and 600V Tray Cable (TC) Instrumentation and Control cables that comply with applicable ICEA standards. Cables meeting ER (Exposed Run) approval, formerly designated as Open Wiring approval, are also available. These cables are ideal for use in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, mining, power generation, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, food processing and transportation industries.

Belden IndustrialTuff 300V PLTC paired or triad cables have soft annealed bare or tinned copper conductors (22-12 AWG) with flame retardant PVC insulation and jackets. Other insulation/jacket options include: XLPE/PVC, TPE/TPE, XLPE/CPE and XLPE/Haloarrest®. All cable jackets are resistant to sunlight, moisture and vapor penetration, and all products are Indoor/Outdoor rated. All PVC/PVC products include a nylon rip cord for ease of installation; products with at least three conductors of 20 AWG or larger are rated for direct burial.

IndustrialTuff 300V Thermocouple Extension cables are available with the same insulation/jacket options as the 300V PLTC products. The pairs offer 20 and 16 AWG conductors (Thermocouple type KX, TX, EX, and JX); other AWG sizes are available as specials.

IndustrialTuff 600V TC Instrumentation and Control cables can be installed in cable trays, ducts and conduit; some constructions can also be used in direct burial applications. All products are Indoor/Outdoor rated and are sunlight resistant. They have soft annealed bare or tinned copper conductors in gauge sizes ranging from 18 to 4/0. A nylon rip cord is included in all PVC-Nylon/PVC instrumentation cables.

Other insulation and jacket combinations are available as specials. Armored and MC-rated products are also available as specials.
