FEINFOCUS Releases New FGUI Version 2.2 With AVI Capability



Stamford, Connecticut - FEINFOCUS announces the release of their Graphical User Interface (FGUI) version 2.2, the latest FGUI software option for their line of X-ray inspection systems. The FGUI version 2.2 has been upgraded to include several new capabilities, most notably an AVI recorder that enables users to save video sequences of processed images in AVI format for training, demonstration, or reporting purposes.

The user-friendly FGUI features single-button AVI recording. Operation of the AVI function only takes a simple click of the "Record" button, featured on the FGUI desktop; recording begins immediately after the file is named. "Start" and "Stop" functions can also be remotely controlled by FEINFOCUS Numerical Control (FNC) programs, available as an option on all FEINFOCUS systems. Playback can be on any media player.

FGUI version 2.2 also offers other advanced features, including 16-bit image processing capabilities, seamless integration of Direct Digital Detectors (DDD), and image saving in a variety of formats, namely, TIF, BMP, and JPG formats. Many useful new image processing operators have also been added, such as an electronic film operator for advanced real-time X-ray inspection.

FGUI version 2.2 is now available with WINDOWS XPTM on all new FEINFOCUS TIGER and FOX series systems. Existing FEINFOCUS customers have the option of upgrading to FGUI version 2.2 for their existing operating system.
