SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 19, 2001 - Bivar, Inc. has introduced the Inserter/Extractor LP-1107 Series featuring a positive locking design to ensure secure retention of printed circuit boards and protection of components, circuitry and connectors. The new series expands on the company's already broad line of non-locking inserter/extractors and is ideally suited for large PCB racks with high density multi-contact connectors or any application where tighter retention and lower noise is desired, such as mobile (air, land, sea) installations of test and measurement instrumentation.
Designed specifically to solve the difficult insertion and extraction problems associated with large PCBs, the LP-1107 Series incorporates a roll pin configuration to lock the board into position, eliminating vibrations and rattles while preventing undue stress on the board as well as accidental release of cards from connectors. The LP-1107 comes standard with mounting pins and is available for 1/16" thick PCBs.
Other features of the LP-1107 Series include a large area for hot stamping and marking with standard colors being black and white. Competitively priced, the devices can also be ordered in custom colors with special marking or with pre-assembled roll pins to save assembly and labor costs. Manufactured with flame-retardant UL rated 94V-0 material, the 1107 Series meets or exceeds all applicable flammability standards
